AkrutoSync is software made to sync Outlook directly with one or more Android devices. It will automatically sync calendar, contacts, tasks and notes. The software will not only sync through Wi-Fi, but also directly from the Android to the PC though the wireless connection. This feature is very beneficial. However, it does require some extra technical steps to set up.
Syncing takes place automatically and is transferred directly between the Android and the PC using SSL encryption. Data changes on the phone are pushed to Outlook instantaneously. Data changes in Outlook will take a couple minutes to sync with the phone.
Task syncing will take place on any Android using AkrutoSync. Some Androids have built-in task apps, such as the HTC One and Samsung Galaxy. If the Android does not have a Task app, AkrutoSync has a free one available. AkrutoSync also provides a Note app for syncing Notes.
The author's website provides a good FAQ and has good documentation with pictures and circles and arrows directing the setup. There is also support available through a contact form or email. A fully operational trial version is available which will automatically be converted to a full version when you purchase the software and enter the license key.
There are a couple of things to know when using this software. If you choose to configure Akruto to sync through your Wi-Fi, the setup will be much easier. However, it only syncs when you are near your Wi-Fi network. If you choose to set up Akruto using your Android's wireless connection (my personal suggestion), be prepared for some extra steps. The documentation indicates the steps with very nice pictures and circles and arrows and they have tried to make it as painless as possible for non-technical people.
