Blue SyncRoid is software designed to sync Outlook calendar and contacts with an Android device using a secure Bluetooth connection. The Blue Syncroid PC Client on the PC connects manually to the Blue Syncroid app installed on the Android device to sync either way or bidirectionally. SyncRoid will sync data from Outlook 2003, 2007, and 2010 (both 32 and 64 bit) to the native Android Calendar and Contacts apps.
The vendor was very helpful and promptly responded to my inquiries for information regarding their product. Support is provided through email or a contact form on their website. There is an FAQ list and a detailed Step by Step setup page with many pictures explaining the installation.
If you wish to try the product for free, a trial version is available that will sync 50 contacts and 10 calendar events.
There are a few things to consider about Blue SyncRoid. The sync is not performed automatically. While a manual sync conserves battery life on the Android, a "set it and forget it" solution is not possible. At this time, contact photos and notes are not synced.
One more thing to consider is that Blue SyncRoid does not ever delete any contact or calendar event. If you delete a contact or event in Outlook, you need to remember to manually delete it on the Android as well. While this protects you from unintended data deletion (a common complaint against other sync software), it also creates more work.
