Garminfone PC Sync is free software provided by Garmin to sync Outlook calendar and contacts to the Garminfone through a USB connection. Sync may take place bidirectionally or one-way in either direction. Installing and operating PC Sync is very easy. Here are the directions from the Garminfone user's manual:
Downloading and Installing Garmin-Asus PC Sync
Note: Garmin-Asus PC Sync software is not compatible with Mac computers.
1. Go to www.garminasus.com/pcsync
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install Garmin-Asus PC Sync software.
Synchronizing With Your Computer
1. Verify that you have downloaded and installed Garmin-Asus PC Sync software on your computer.
2. Connect the mini-USB cable to the connector on the bottom of the device.
3. Connect the mini-USB cable to a USB port on your computer. The USB Connected page should open on the Garminfone. Note: if the USB Connected page does not open, open the Notification bar and touch USB Connected.
4. Touch Sync.
Your Microsoft Outlook contacts, calendar events, and tasks are synchronized with your device contact list and calendar.
It should be clearly noted that the Garminfone owner's manual is in error on one point. This software does NOT sync Outlook tasks, but only calendar and contacts.
After a sync, there will be a green sync status icon on the main sync window. If any calendar or contact item is changed, this will turn red until the next sync is performed, when it turns green again.
Below are a few screenshots of Garminfone PC Sync. Note the green sync icon in the first picture.
