Moonrug is an Android app that allows access to the data on an Exchange account, including email, calendar, contacts, notes, and tasks.  No data is stored locally, so there is technically no sync occurring.  This means an active internet connection is always necessary to access the Exchange data.

Moonrug is unique in that it does not store data on the Android or the removable SD card.  This feature means anyone stealing or finding a lost Android will not be able to access any of the Exchange data, provided the security feature limiting access to the phone has been set.  A prompt password change after the Android is missing will also guarantee protection.

The software has a 5 day trial available.  This should be enough time to see if it performs satisfactorily.

The only consideration I have for Moonrug is a double edged sword.  While it keeps data secure by not storing it locally - a security administrator's dream - it also means an active internet connection must be available whenever Exchange access is required.  Unless you live in a cave or work at the heavily shielded YMCA like my wife, this should not be an issue.
